End of Day Nightlight

$45.00

This series consists almost entirely of recycled material (aside from the lamp sockets, lightbulbs, and silicone used to attach the glass to the lamp base). They are topographic in nature, and I think the tactile quality gives them a widget/worry stone aspect that doesn’t translate through photographs.

I consider them a healthy/clean alternative to my stained glass nightlights because they are free of lead and all other potentially toxic materials/chemicals used during the stained glass process. If you’re pregnant or know someone expecting, I would suggest this nightlight for a nursery <3

About/Process: Each nightlight is sketched, hand-cut, and then fired in a glass kiln at the Bullseye Glass Resource Center in Oakland, California. "End of Day Glass" is an old glassmaker tradition, where you attempt to create something beautiful from the remaining broken glass pieces used that day. I gather all my glass scraps in a big bucket, and then a couple times a month I dump it out and make a batch of recycled nightlights like the ones you see here :)

Due to the individual nature of each item, please allow a bit of time prior to shipping. I hand-make everything myself so thank you for being patient! If you need an express turnaround, please add the “rush order” option to your cart. It’s in the shop listed as an item. A rush order guarantees your nightlight will be in the mail within 1 week from purchase.
