Woke up thinking about how much has happened over the past 10 years. To throw it into perspective, I finished this panel 8 years ago this month! 😳 Also thanks to Henry Gunderson for taking photos - all of my work from that show is gone, mainly because I was a poor art student with no idea how to store the obnoxiously large paintings I was making...😌 #loaded2011

Ok I know I’ve posted a lot of pictures of this dang window but I’m finally done with everything and I’m really happy 😊. For those of you who don’t know I’m working on a series of these windows to accompany the latch-hook rugs I’ve been making. Thanks for all the positive encouragement, I’ve been putting in all my free time and money to make these things and the support from everyone really keeps be motivated. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

This December my dad and I spent 2 weeks together in Negril. Every morning I woke up and made my way to 7 mile beach. I spent a lot of time drawing the cliffs, the cove, and fishing boats that would wash up on shore to sell their catch in the morning. My favorite drawing was done the day after a heavy storm hit. It washed mass amounts of seaweed onshore and brought the water level up to the back doors of many cottages on the beach. I got to know a lot of people living and working in the tourism trade and spent a good amount of time studying the catamarans anchored a bit off shore. If I go back, I will spend my next visit working on portraits and drawing some of my favorite stops along the road.
